i rise today to honor sock rapid citizen of the year, jody spiker. the sock rapid's chamber started this award in 1986 to recognize individuals who have influenced the community for the better. jody, a resident of sock rapids for the past 15 years, is known for her many contributions to this wonderful community. whether she's striving for economic prosperity by working with the chamber of commerce, fighting to end disease through her work with the alzheimer's association, and the walk to end alzheimer's, helping to put on st. cloud's senior expo, or advocating for our children by serving on the community education board for the sock rapids district, jody is always putting her community first. it takes a very special person to dedicate their time for helping and supporting others, and i'm proud to recognize that kind of accomplishment here today. jody, thank you for all you do for our community. you're truly deserving of this award. keep up the great work. mr. speaker, i rise today to celebrate an educator in my district who was recently named minneso
