i'm jodi hernandez. in east bay, a suspect answers to federal charges. that's how an east bay woman pleaded today to charges she helped her husband carry out the deadly orlando >>> not guilty of that's how an east bay woman pled today. the charges that she help her husband carry out the deadly orlando nightclub shooting. jodi hernandez was in court today as she answers some very serious allegations. >> reporter: they are very serious. the charges carry a possible life sentence. but today floor salman pleaded not guilty. her family says federal investigators have it wrong. 30-year-old noor salman pleaded not guilty to all charges in federal court this morning. she was accused of helping her husband who there did the orlando nightclub shooting that left 49 people dead and then misleading investigators with lies and misstatements. >> she entered a plea of not guilty on all counts. >> reporter: her attorney will now fight to get a release from jail on bail while the case makes its way through federal court t

jodi hernandez went to see what happened. what is the situation right now? >> reporter: we have the russian river at the highest level it has been at since the storm started. the highest level in more than a decade. take a look here at the pee wee golf and arcade center. it is flooded and you can see the folk who is live in the neighborhood getting around by canoe. we have seen unbelievable pictures. things like this all over town. folks here are doing their best to ride it out. sections of the river can only be navigated by boat today. the russian river has come close to cresting and some people woke up to find their homes surrounded by water. >> i literally floated out from my back yard. my basement and garage got flooded. i figured i would take the kayak. >> it has been more than a decade since people have seen flooding like this. neighbors are pulling together. most have been through it before. >> we are making the most of it. they get down the road to his car. we cope. >> one neighbor can't help that california national guard is standing by to pitch in.

nbc bay area's jodie hernandez joins us with what is being done now to protect people in the path of those flood waters. jodie. >> reporter: jessica, folks here in guerneville haven't seen river levels like this in years. i'm actually standing in the russian river. now, this is normally a roadway that leads to a beach. you can see just how high the river has gotten. it's at about 34 feet right now and it's expected to go up another 4 feet by tomorrow afternoon. i am told that is approaching a major flood situation. with yet another round of rain pounding down, the russian river is once again on the rise tonight. already above flood stage, the river has left some campgrounds, cars and trailers under water. emergency responders say it's got the potential to cause even more serious problems. >> we're taking it serious. we have the national guards out here, we have emergency centers opened up, strategically placed for evacuation. we are taking all precautions on this one. >> reporter: it's not just the river that's causing concern. mudslides are also a big threat. this saturated hillside
