(darya) new this morning... part of highway one, south of big sur and pfeiffer canyon is back open this morning... a months-old landslide on highway one was triggered by winter storms. caltrans announced yesterday that "paul's slide" had finally been cleared. big sur's north side is still cut-off because caltrans has not completed building pfeiffer canyon bridge on highway 1. highway 1 is also still cut-off south of paul's slide because of the mud creek slide, near the monterey county-san luis obispo county line.
