jody hice from the state of georgia. mr. hice: i'm grateful to the colleague from florida for yielding this time. today, the united states supreme court heard oral argument of what has potential of being one of the most important cases in our time. of course, we are talking about a case involving unprecedented and expansion of powers by the president. nd we all remember november, 2014, when president obama, fresh off i might add losing mid-term elections and right after that he announced decisions to grant amnesty to five million illegal immigrants and there are 26 states to quickly move tower challenge this president's decision in court. and those states, rightly, correctly argued that they were being forced by the federal government to bear the costly burden of this president's abuse of power. after months of wrangling in the lower courts, now we watch the united states v. texas being considered in the high court. you putting me on pause, mr. speaker? and now we watch this being put on in the supreme court and i'm hopeful,

berkeley, i'm jodi hernandez, nbc bay area news. >> thank you, jodi. >>> a followup now on the so-called bearded bandit. he's apparently confessed. friends and family filled the court to see kenneth ellis in his first appearance in contra costa county court. his eyes appeared to tear up as he waved to his support ares. court documents says he's having money problems and used the money to pay bills. someone recognized him from news reports that led to his arrest. >>> camera police say brian smith on the left here and steven fox on the right allegedly stole bicycles from an apartment complex on bascom avenue. a surveillance camera showed the break in on february 21st. you see the men pretty clearly there. pleeps say tips started pouring in when they posted the video to social media. we aired it here on nbc bay area as well. they were then able to track the suspect down. they think this is a crime of opportunity. >> from the video you can see that they pull up and they have to actually use some type of tool to get into the locked door, and then they go down into the parking structure and ha

nbc bay area's jodi hernandez spoke with one of the victims. >> just heartbroken. just heartbroken that more people have gone through this. >> reporter: that's how uc berkeley's sexual harassment victim tian sorrel is feeling after learning she's far from alone following a media public information request, uc berkeley has released more than 400 pages of documents revealing they disciplined more than a dozen employees over the past seven years for sexual harassment. >> i sat and i wondered what did the victims of these circumstances go through? was it anything like i went through? was it worth worse? >> reporter: she said she endured unwanted hugs, kisses and rubbing from the former dean of law school, sujit choudhry. they disciplined him but did not fire him. he eventually stepped down. the university acknowledges there have been many more cases. >> we can't turn back the hands of time. we know we have to do a better job in terms of how we impose discipline. >> reporter: the university says it's taking new steps to deal with the issue including forming a peer revie
