support among black voters for joe biden has been really strong. association with president obama helping him there. is that now vulnerable do you think because the way harris went after him? >> i think he's incredibly vulnerable. i think we saw last night was so good for harris because she did essentially two important things. one is, she can miss the d&c democrats, establishment democrats who may be on the fence about joe biden that maybe it's time to switch. the second is, she showed her strength and prosecuting a case in a politician and 40 seconds, joe biden was starting to struggle. and it was a moment if you candidates get in their career. it was great to see. gerry: they got most of the attention. who else, eric, do you think is kind of standing? it was 20 candidates, two debates. most did not get a look and. who is still standing? >> i think sanders reaffirmed his support in position and reminder he is one that brought the party where it is today. even if time is passing him by for a number of factors including some self conflicted politic

still overwhelmingly they say that's joe biden. he's at 43% and then everyone else is some 30 points behind him on electability basically. >> yeah, no one even comes close on this score. and as you noted more than six in ten democrats say it is much more important that a candidate who can beats trump than it is to have a candidate who agrees with him on the issues. in fact, omin our poll, only bernie sanders think the reverse. but overwhelmingly democrats want that trump slayer, if you will, and they see that at this moment still with joe biden. but that's why i think the recovery for biden in the next debate before that next large audience they'll have is so critical because if he doesn't show that he can actually perform on that stage, those numbers may change. that could be a piercing of what is basically his strongest suit. >> and what could work in his favor is where he stands right now. >> many see these democrats as further left. and one will see whether going forward he'll feel pressure to move to the left. >> that's out of
