joe biden, who is campaigning in the key state of south carolina. joining us now, cnn's senior political reporter nia-malika henderson, chief media consultant brian stelter and "the new york times" politics editor patrick healyou first. you are with kamala harris in another key state, michigan. how are harris and others contending with the fact that biden has sucked up a lot of the oxygen in this race? >> reporter: he really has. you see that big bump that he got post announcing his entry into this big, big field of democratic candidates. tonight, kamala harris is in michigan, a key state that obviously donald trump won. that was part of his, in some ways, sweep of the midwest, of tearing down that blue wall the democrats had relied on for all of those presidential cycles. we'll hear from kamala harris tonight in front of a crowd of about 5,000 members of the naacp here in detroit. of course, there's an overwhelmingly black city, and she wants to make an argument tonight to these voters about electability. now, what does she mean, electability? this idea, at least if you listen to sort of pundits talk about it, is that it takes a certain type of person to reach the voters in the midwest, and the voters in th
