uva loses 64-61 and according to espn's joe lunardi it may have cost them a 1 seed. a woman declared legally blind now has her sight again -- thanks to a new type of surgery. patricia maggard had cateracts and dry macular degeneration. she is one of the first in our state to get this new procedure. it took out her cloudy cateract and replaced it with a telescope. that uses the better part of her eye to see what macular degeneration took away. she was meeting with her doctor at vistar eye center in roanoke who says she is doing well. patricia maggard "i looked through it and i could read the eye chart and they had my husband stand out there and i could see his face and i thought bingo. i found a cure.
