joe saunders pitches for the angels today and the orioles counter with rich hill, looking for his fourthin. welcome back. if it's sunday, it means it's another edition of dempsey's dugout. what do you have for us? >> rick: we have to forget what we saw on the mound in anaheim but you have to think of what the young man did at the beginning of the season and what he has been doing most of the season. i talk to brian bass about the adjustments that made him a better pitcher this year. we have to talk first about the start of the season because that's really what -- you know, defined what happened with you. it wasn't a good start and things didn't seem to be going all that good and all of a sudden it clicked. and you started pitching very well. what was the difference? >> i think it just -- we've tweaked some mechanical things in the last couple of weeks of spring training and it wasn't quite there and i guess kind of took a couple of weeks to get use to that and figure out how to get guys out again. >> rick: i know out of the minor leagues you were a starter most of the time and that's wha
