kpix 5 reporter joe vazquez is live with the latest on the search for the shooter. >> twin peaks an international landmark which makes it all the more shocking at someone came here this morning. shot three men and wild two of them. >> reporter: valentine's night on twin peaks, a gorgeous overlook of the city but it got ugly overnight. >> we're just trying to see the view and it's valentines weekend. it's so unfortunate. >> reporter: a gunman opened fire. two men were killed. an 18-year-old was also shot. >> any time we have a violent attack like this we want to make sure we quickly apprehend whoever did it. >> this is not the first incident up there. there was a robbery as well. >> we've had auto break-ins, some violent crime but mostly auto break-ins. we don't have enough police

joe vazquez is at the one of the locations where the tent city was ordered out by 5:00 this afternoon. >> as a matter of fact, this is the second tent city ordered to vacate. the second deadline. like you said, 5:00, just half an hour ago. you can see a couple tents here but for the most part the sidewalks are visible again. most of the people here have left the area. the city's public health department ordered people to disperse by 72 hours, 5:00 today, saying this was a, quote, public nuisance. the health department said it found unsanitary conditions including human waste and hypodermic needles. >> i've seen like i guess 80% of the people, more than 80, i guess 90% vacate. >> 90% of the people living here in tents took their tents and left? >> right. >> we went a few blocks away from here, division of van ness. they were ordered to vacate by friday. there are about 25 tents left down from about 130 a week ago. that order that the health department put out, it had the tone of a police sweep. it was essentially a threat that the police would come out here and help with some sort of e

joe vazquez at one of the encampments. what are you seeing out there now? >> that deadline has come and gone. we haven't seen any city personnel. for that matter, we've not seen a lot of homeless people. you could see some tents here. there are about a dozen here in the area of san bruno and alameda but as we pan the camera around, you see a lot of sidewalk. we're told a few days ago it was wall to wall tents all the way down to division street. the public health department ordered people to vacate the area, saying this was a public nuisance because of all the human waste and hypodermic needles. that appeared to create a sweep, and that's why some activists decided to spend the night in tents late last week including edward linda who's running for supervisor. >> the fact they may consider a threat doesn't mean it solves anything. it just means that people who were sleeping on the streets moved. >> we checked out the other tent city in division of van ness. they had a deadline of 5:00. there are 25 tents left there, down from about 130 a week ago. the health

reporting live, i'm joe vazquez, kpix 5. >>> a deadly hit and run in pinole. the suspect is in custody. the driver hit a man who was checking a tire on his car on the shoulder of eastbound i-80 near pinole valley road. the man's body went down a ravine. the driver kept on going. earlier an off duty police officer noticed the erratic driving and started following the car. after witnessing the accident, he called for backup. officers quickly arrested the driver. >> it looks like it's preliminary, but it's a manslaughter case. >> the investigation took several hours because of the tough terrain. the driver, 31-year-old carey cash of oakland, was arrested for felony, dui causing death, and driving with a suspended license. >>> we've learned one of the men arrested in a brawl in a ku klux klan rally--in a ku klux klan rally was from san francisco. it's not clear what side the man was on. the fight spread across an entire city block until police broke it up. >>> donald trump sidestepping questions about possible support from a former member of the kkk. this as the p

kpix 5's joe vazquez is in san francisco's soma district tonight with new video. >> here at 9th you canemnants of last night's fiery crash. there you see the black and charred pavement. right next to a sidewalk memorial with candles that spell the name dave. officials have not yet released the names of those who died here but some video has emerged. >> reporter: this video posted on youtube shows the immediate aftermath of the crash, a car engulfed in flames, three men killed. the chp says the men were doing donuts in the street at 5th and bryant when an officer spotted them. >> all of the sudden they took off and ran through that light. the officer then turned on his emergency lights in an attempt to make a stop on that vehicle. >> reporter: after the car sped through several more red lights the chp said they discontinued the chase then watched as the car hit a yellow cab, went out of control, and crashed hard. >> a bang and the whole car burst in to intense flames so we all ran to try to help. >> the flames were so intense, by the time we got there, there was no way anybody could be a

joe vazquez with what is allowed and what move is not. >> reporter: the goal is to prevent concussion and head injuries but will a child be able to use his head during the game? the answer is interesting. it may depend on which league your child plays for. spring soccer is just around the corner. and new rules are afoot for children. you may remember in november, the u.s. soccer federation issued some guidelines about using your head. they recommended no more headers for kids under 10, know the in games or in practice. associations across america are widely following that recommendation. >> but where there's some confusion is what's going to happen with kids who are 11 to 13 years old. >> reporter: the soccer dad and president of the board of directors for sf youth soccer says the federation only suggested limiting headers for that age group. today one of two major youth soccer associations in the bay area the cal north soccer association announced its new rules, kids ages 12 and under will not be allowed to head the ball in games. but kids 11 to 13 can use their head in a limited way

reporting live, i'm joe vazquez, kpix 5. >>> a toxic scare at a sonoma county elementary school. high levels of lead detected in the drinking water fountains at healdsburg elementary school in sonoma county. kpix 5 reporter emily turner is there live where parents got some good news today. emily. >> reporter: they got very good news. just within the last five hours or so the health department came back with new test results of water testing here ter elementary school. it shows only traces of lead. so well within the legal limits of lead. they can breathe a sigh of relief but the school won't go back to the way it used to be. it will be bottled water for the remainder of the school year at healdsburg elementary school. the lead scare was a false alarm but even so school administrators aren't taking chances. >> recently administered tests at the school site revealing that we are actually within federal limits and the water is safe. >> reporter: murky water was tested around thanksgiving. they shut off water to all the drinking fountains and brought in bottles as backup but they did
