thank you, i'm joe veronese good to be home i graduated from usf at the law school. born and raised i live in cal hallow area where i grew up my entire life. i was a police commissioner in san francisco. i was a criminal justice commissioner for california for 7 years. fire commissioner for 3 years special patrolled the streets of san francisco in this neighborhood for 3 years. all of those years were in public service. all of those years were unpaid as a volunteer for the service of san francisco. this is my city and today i don't rescue noise this city. and that's why i'm running for district attorney. it is not just about talk and saying, we'll make san francisco safe again. it is about doing the work. getting out. makes arrests and make people safe in san francisco. we have people in this city, many people in the city that are fendzing for themselves that stops. we get become to the work of protecting people and delivering a justice system that we all deserve. about the drug crisis in san francisco civil rights attorney and former police commissioner joe ali yodo, veronesesays if he's elected, his first task will be to go after every fentanyl drug dealer in the city. we need to go up. we're not talking about mass incarceration here. we're talking about a couple dozen people. why can't it be done? why can't brook jenkins and her d a investigators and police officers? i was both of those. why can't they go down there right now and arrest those fentanyl dealers? why can't they do that? now, brooke jenkins. the current district attorney's has a police swot sweep will not solve the drug problem time. we have to make sure that policing is fair that they're not basing arrests on stereotypes or anything else, and so they are out doing what they can as far as undercover operations and stings to make sure that they're arresting dealers, but it's not as simple as just walking out and doing a sweep and picking up everybody who looks like a drug dealer. like borini's criminal defense attorney john hamasaki served on the police commission and says the way to deal wit
