well, for more on this, i want to bring in cnn legal analyst joey jackson, who's in suffolk county, newk. joey, good to see you. so it would seem that boeing has struck a deal, a tentative deal with workers. i mean, how crucial was it for boeing to get this done? >> yeah, it was a big deal anna good to be with you. and the reason for that is the impact upon the economy. you could imagine a company like boeing in the united states employing so many workers having 171,000 upwards of that employees and just being so vital to the economy. and you mentioned certainly the billion dollar loss per month certainly something they don't want to have to deal with the company nor employees. and so what happens in the united states is unions are real vital part of organizing labor. and that is the leverage that employees have with respect to management. and so it's been the first strike in terms of machinists union 16 16 years so to have the ability to put together a deal that makes workers happier, gives them a 35% increase in pay over four years sweetens pension benefits gives them a bonus of $7,00
