republican senator john barrasso of wyoming. welcome, sir. t off the bat, what is the most important power that the corker cardin agreement going to give you as congressman. john: thank you for having me, liz. it's the power of the people of america to actually see whatever this deal is with iran and have their voices heard. that's what this is all about. and in terms of relieving sanctions, we want to make sure that any deal is enforceable, verifiable, that it's accountable. because a world where iran has a nuclear weapon is a world that to me is less safe, less secure, and less stable. liz: how pleased were you to hear that the president was going to rubber stamp this bill. congress will look at this. have 30 days and decide. john: well, this is a bill we built in a bipartisan way. this is completely bipartisan. and i think the white house started to do the math and realized, even though the president threatened to veto it that we had the votes to override him. so it was wise of him to say, okay, i'll yield to the senate. yield to congress.
