then, but the people who funded the campaign, the leaders like mitch mcconnell and then, i guess, john boehnermary process. who they supported and who they didn't support. do you know at this stage? are mitch mcconnell and kevin mccarthy are either one of them sorting through these candidates, trying to find the more mainstream candidate and sort of push them forward, like the republican party did in 2014? >> i think there are groups and people in the republican party trying to do that. but as you point out, the power structure of these parties has changed. a viral moment can raise more money for these candidates than anything, you know, the party could have done to help them. and you have to remember, of course, that the republican base hates mitch mcconnell, as much as they hate some democrats, practically, right? he's not someone -- and having him being involved in some of these primaries would hurt those candidates. but i think there's a larger question here, that a lot of the republicans that you're talking about are worried about. which is how, you know, a candidate who embraces these li
