we didn't hear testimony from john bolton in the senate trial on the first time he was up for impeachment. there are so many times that the congressional investigators wanted to hear from people around the president and because president trump used the courts and used these claims to delay, as you say, and put things off, lost traction, became moot over time, and it succeeded in keeping information out of the public sphere. we have a different justice department now than we did under president trump. merrick garland takes these things a little bit more seriously than the trump's justice department did. even now the prosecution of steve bannon for criminal contempt for not cooperating, will not elicit testimony because the trial won't be held until july. it's supposed to punish the behavior. it means this committee won't hear from steve bannon any time soon. mark meadows is watching that closely. we will see how he, you know, acts in response, but i think you're right. if the strategy seems to be delay, go to courts, see if you can push it off as long as possible until it's no longer relev
