boyd malvo is saving life in prison. >>> we're learning more about the case of a johns hopkins student who used a samurai sword to kill an intruder earlier this week. you remember this story, we've been talking about it. a police report says there were no signs of forced entry at the student's home which is near the campus. 20-year-old hopkins student john patillo called police monday night to report video game consoles stolen from his room. when people in the house heard the commotion later that night he grabbed his sword and confronted 49-year-old donald rice in the garage. patillo claims rice lunged at him and he swung the sword in self defense. rice died of injuries. police say he had 29 prior convictions for breaking and entering. >>> 5:05. orioles skipper trembley all smiles. said matt weaners is coming on. way to go. the rain delay. then after one hour, 40-minute rain delay with 100 fans still in the fans, matt hit his first walkoff home run. the orioles win 4-2. we have to watch him hit the home run. we'll tease it and come back to you. here's the video of the day. absolutely the video of the day. fan catches
