that's brent cannon, on the john deere, no excuses. i have a brent cannon icon. temperatures are looking good. the clouds are moving in. it's not going to be that beautiful. as we head throughout the afternoon, we will lose the cloud cover in the south bay and the east bay. a few showers sneaking into the bay. high pressure is dividing the state in half. southern california, clear skies, warm conditions. northern california, the storm track is pushing the rain in. we are kind of between. we are going to see this reaction push into the north bay. the rain is evaporating as it collides with the big ridge of high pressure. kind of one of those situations if you are headed to the north bay, bring a jacket, just in case. you could see light on and off showers. 48 in napa. 46 in san mateo. 50 degrees in san francisco. it should be beautiful if you are headed to santa cruz for the weekend. 66 degrees in redwood city and 68 in gilroy. temperature wise, warmer for tomorrow and sunday. that is the day to make the outdoor plans if you have the luxury. back to you guys. >> a

they installed a similar feature when they expanded john deere medical center. is this really necessary? >> yes, it is. because the runoff from these development projects while individually the pollutants come off of them while they are originally significant collectively on a watershed basis or citywide basis it is causing pollution in our creeks and the bay. >> reporter: by the end of the year the epa and water control boards will mandate new and re developed gas stations, auto facilities and larger parking spots at least 5,000 square feet follow the same procedures. >> now they are upping the ante. they want you to use these specific methods to treat the storm water. >> reporter: it will soon be required to save and reuse the water, have it filtered into the grounds or evaporate which, according to tom of the contra costa water program isn't feasible. they are seeking some leeway with that mandate. these policies affect developers right now. but they are starting to hit home. it is illegal to wash your car in the bay area. >> to wash your car. >> and to wash

i have a few farmers going around new john deeres or whatever their choice of tractors are for the first time in their lives, actually, so it's been a good thing so we don't lose our farms. we're losing our agriculture at an alarming rate on a daily basis across this country but in pennsylvania there's been a blessing to help keep that land in production. you know, a little bit of a disturbance. small site for drilling. but once the rigs all go away and you have just that well-head that you look at in the insert on a poster board there you can farm around that. mr. reed: yeah, the next time that my colleague will yield, the next time we have this conversation and i hope we have this conversation many more times as we go forth and bring forth science and data on these issues, the operation when it originally comes in and the development of the well site does require some industrial-type activity. i do recognize that and i think my colleague would recognize that. again, i believe you say 90 days is the estimated period of time for that development to occur and then i've seen wells that hav
