i'm john dickerson. this is our western edition. news has obtained exclusive audio from the american airlines pilots union of a heated meeting with boeing officials. the pilots confronted the jet maker last fall about new features to its 737 max planes that may have been a factor in a deadly crash just weeks earlier. the pilots demanded quick action from boeing, but a computer fix would not be ordered until after a second crash in march.kr clea. >> reporter: frustration boiled over during a tense meeting between a boeing official and american airlines 737 pilots in november 2018. >> reporter: the meeting came less than a month after lion air 610, a boeing 737 max, went down off the coast of indonesia,d fo months before the second max crash killed 157 more. investigators believe in both cases a faulty sensor triggered the plane's mcas anti-stall system that repeatedly pushed the plane down. the pilots at the meeting were angry that system was not disclosed to them until after the first max crash. >> reporter: boeing v.p. mike senate,
