sources say flynn is just the tip of the iceberg in the john durham investigation. looking into the origins of the russia probe. sources say that durham is moving ahead full throttle. >> bret: david spunt outside doj. thank you. let's talk about the next steps in the flynn case. senior political analyst brit hume joins us. your thoughts about where we are right now and the reaction to it. >> it seems to me that the people who were in one way or another involved in the handling of the michael flynn case are now crying fouled that the justice department decided to abandon the case, and i don't that we should take terribly serious either complains about this. when you balance them against what, if all the regularities and obvious signs of bad faith that now come to light and how this whole case was developed and prosecuted from the start. that is i think where we are. it remains to be seen how the judge in the case will respond but if the justice department doesn't want to prosecute, it's hard to see how the case can go forward despite the fact that flynn entered a gui
