john ericson is live. john, voters now taking this latest information to heart. >> reporter: what people won't see is the sheriff getting arrested. instead according to his lawyer they'll be paper work where arpio will plead not guilty. it starts with grainy video because this case 2007. a lawsuit accusing sheriff arpio of racial traffic stops. a federal judge ordered arpio to stop, to make changes. this year the federal judge said arpio department make the necessary changes, didn't follow a court order. not following a court order is contempt of court. if it's done on purpose that could be criminal contempt. all of this happening in the context of an election year but just a new tease to an old case? we went to a voter town hall to ask voters. >> i decided that i don't want to vote for arp -- arpio. i voted for him in the past. i feel that he's profiling people and he's actually pretty old. it comes a time when it's time for a change. >>> in a statement, the sheriff calls the charge rubbish. says he's conf
