john, first your reaction of the letter we got from dr. ford's lawyer, ms. katz. what sticks out for you here? >> simply the fact we're going to have this hearing and she'll be able to tell her story. we'll also hear from judge kavanaugh, and you're right to say he has denied this. all present in that room know what happened independently. i don't believe someone who makes an allegation like that. i went to duke university. i remember the duke scandal where people were falsely accused. however, the relevant point was made by glenn hirschner in the previous segment. it is clear that the people running this leadership do not care what is true. they are determined, as mitch mcconnell said, as the chief counsel to chuck grassley said, they are trying to ram this through and figure out how bad is it if we go ahead and confirm this nominee? they're trying, as glenn indicated, to prevent the possibility that there is cooperation from mark judge. they realize they need to let her tell her story and brett kavanaugh will tell his. then they'll have two bad options. one, peo
