john gonzalez has the latest. autria, we had strong winds and heavy rain throughout the d.c.it was here in adelphi where w'' re seeing a tremendous amount of damage. we've been talking about trees being snapped in half. take a look at this massive tree. it looks like it was twisted out of the ground. you can see, he came down, bringing down a telephone pole and the look at the vehicles here. they are destroyed. you have a number of cars that look like this in the parking lot of the presidential park condominiums off -- in adelphi. a tremendous amount of damage. it will take some time to clean this up. take a look at the other video we captured overnight and this morning. it appears it was something much greater in this area. some of been describing it as a downdraft or a microburst. it is a two to three mile radius that has seen a tremendous amount of damage. windows from apartment and townhomes shattered. trees landing on structures, cars. the power lines. just up the road the busy intersection at riggs road is closed because of some of those downed power lines. pepco crews
