there isn't anybody i know who epitomizes bipartisanship more than our governor, john hickenlooper, my old boss. i was chief of staff when he was mayor of the city and county of denver. some things i know about john is that he came to colorado as a geologist and he promptly lost his job during a downturn, and his insurance, by the way, his health insurance. that didn't stop him. he created the first microbrewery that exists between chicago and los angeles in the city and county of denver, became a very successful businessman, became mayor of denver. and one of the first things he did was go out and wrangle 34 mayors in the denver metro area, many of them republicans, to raise the sales tax to pay for what is now the newest light rail system in the country. it covers an area the size of the state of connecticut. when he became governor, he continued that bipartisan work, brought environmentalists and industry together to create the first methane regulations in the united states, and he has worked, as has been mentioned by the ranking member, with john kasich from ohio to create a bipart
