i'm john kelly. >> and i'm marla tellez. investigators are combing fields after deputies find some of the girl's belongings. bob redell is live in morgan hill with the new clues into the girl's disappearance. >> reporter: good morning. the santa clara county sheriff's office just announced, just confirmed to us that they did find a pink juicy bag that belongs to sierra lamar. inside that bag, they found a pair of her pants and a t-shirt. they say they were both neatly folded. these are items that are identified by forensics and her family as belonging to sierra. with the confirmation of this discovery, the sheriff's office this morning has started another search. this one more extensive than what took place over the weekend. within the past hour and a half, about 50 search and rescue personnel along with k-9s have fanned out to go over an area of a three mile radius of sierra lamar's home. it will include private property, fields, waterways and gulleys. the dogs are trained in both finding human remains and living people. th

i'm john kelly. this morning, a san francisco man under arrest charged with killing a family inside their engel side district home. officers arresting 35-year-old bin ty luke sunday morning. he's expected of killing a family of five discovered dead on friday morning. police say this was a targeted attack. >> here to reassure the public that this incident was specific to 16 house street. >> well, the victims have not officially been identified by the coroner. and we have learned they were not shot to death as police previously reported but they died from blunt trauma. police would not say whether they are still searching for additional suspects. >>> time now to check on your monday forecast. let's say good morning to christina loren. >> taking a live look at downtown san jose, a mix of sun and clouds, we'll see the clouds increase throughout the day today ahead of a front that will bring us rain tomorrow, but it's the mostly clear start making for cold conditions. grab a jacket, 42 degrees in san jose

i'm john kelly.sh in san francisco. this all happened early this morning on brotherhood way. police telling us three people were riding in the car when the driver somehow lost control, skidded right into a tree. the car spun around, eventual lip ended up on a sidewalk. police say the driver and his two passengers were both taken to the hospital. two of them with life-threatening injuries. at this point, there is no word if alcohol was a factor. >>> well, on a much brighter note, let's check your weekend forecast with christina loren. >> yeah, we're getting sunshine out there right now. it's cold enough for a jacket, though temperatures were in the 30s this morning, now we're in the low 40s. the next few days, major changes on the way, as of tonight, those clouds will increase and tomorrow morning we're talking about heavy, steady rain, over the great bay area. lighter afternoon showers especially in the south bay and sunday, heavy rain returns, isolated thunderstorms, as well. so it all works out lik

i was just reading the "washington post" yesterday, and i think john kelly said this best. he's talking about a greenbelt scam but it doesn't mean go for it. he does the usual if it sounds too good to be true it is. i've been doing that for 30 years. that is when a stranger calls to say you win something you haven't. pass down that flutter of excitement, listen to the voices. why would someone call you out of the blue to tell you you have run a sweepstakes you didn't even remember entering, sadly enough people listen to the other voice, one that says why shouldn't lock smile upon me once in awhile. do i not deserve the universe love and they make a decent living. so, we have a real issue in terms of trying to prevent it other than through the great work of law enforcement. >> that raises the question and i will give this to you. why would it be that older folks may say why, something about them perhaps to talk about some of the research, libeled older folks think that perhaps more so than others? >> thanks and it's a pleasure to be here to the i guess i wanted hookin' bull

. >> john, it kelly. >> hi, kelly. >> i'm wondering if can you comment on president obama yesterday andne here in the u.s. to alleviate supply gluts. what will it mean for the price of gas? >> i've seen some of the retail swings and wholesale swings that have been really volatile and i think a lot of this has been caused by this glut of crude and it's starting to affect gasoline well tiff to each other. to the average american, it's just nothing but higher. but if you look at the regional differences, they're really striking and i do think that some of the mid continent glut has kept thing as little lower in the rockies and in chicago than they would have been otherwise. if you reverse -- if you reverse sea way and you get the keystone xl southern portion up and running in a relatively short period of time, i think this does smooth that out and some of that glut in the mid continent will work to pressure gasoline prices down a little bit. but it doesn't change the overall world supply, demand balance. it does tend to smooth things over. >> we have a debate coming up at 8:30 in which we'

john is chief economics correspondent with the "wall street journal" here with our already introduced kellyf you. >> hey, john. >> what will be the more interesting conversation, the sterilization conversation or the other conversation? >> well, let's start off with jobs because you raised it. you know, i don't think that we should take too much out of this friday jobs report on p. on the same day a lot of wall street investment banks were lowering their gdp forecast for the first quarter. we could get a gdp growth of less than 2% in the first quarter. i'm writing about this today in "the journal." there's a conundrum here. something's got to give. either economic growth picks up or the jobs growth we have seen isn't sustainable. and i think that the decisions that fed makes is going to depend on which way it breaks. >> jon, you mentioned in your piece today that productivity could be a problem here. it's slowing down. that's a problem in the long term even if it maybe helps workers right now. >> yeah. >> is what you're really raising though the idea that the federal reserve, that ben berna
