i -- i -- i don't want to get out ahead of john kerry in terms of how to craft this. i would just make a general observation, and that is that how sanctions are lessened how we snap back sanctions if there's a violation, there are a lot of different mechanisms and ways to do that. part of john's job, and part of the iranian anying -- negotiator's job is to sometimes find formulas that get to our main concerns while allowing the other side to make a presentation to their body politic, that is more acceptable. our main concern here is making sure that if iran doesn't abide by its agreement that we don't have to jump through a whole bunch of hoops in order to reinstate sanctions. that's our main concern. and i think that goal of having in reserve the possibility of putting back and applying forceful sanctions in the event of a violation, that goal can be met. and it will require some creative negotiations by john kerry and -- and others and i'm confident it will be successful. and i very much appreciate by the way, the support that has been provided by prime minister ren

and the main negotiator here the man who's been up with john kerry, they spent one series of meetings overnight, eight and a half hours finishing just before 6:00 a.m. and then a short break before they started talking again, the iranian foreign minister has said found solutions, ready to start drafting immediately. now, he's not talking about drafting what they're going to read out to us now and what we're going to be told now. he's still looking at. other deadline and that's the important thing to remember. you have this deal now but the other deadline is the big deadline. that is the end of june when they've got to get all the technical details. now, another thing i've heard which we'll have to watch closely is we're going to have what's been announced publicly here and i think there's been a lot of debate about what should be said publicly. we believe there are also some other working documents, technical documents that perhaps are not being made public to us. that has been suggested to us over the last couple of days that those sort of things exist. will those technical documents

john kerry who has to face a very hostile congress wants as many specifics as they could put in and soo other leaders. they want to make sure they have pinned iran down and there's no wiggle room as much as they can in what they've produced here. there was disagreement about that. and there's some possibility according to one report and i've not confirmed this that iran and the european union may have a separate statement and perhaps this won't be a joint agreement. i don't think it will be jointly signed by the united states and by iran. but what the idea is that this will layout a work program for another phase going forward. and that phase is going forward to june 30th, when a final agreement are supposed to be agreed to. this is a very optimistic projection. we've been here for seven days now. they've been negotiating for all of these days. it's a full week. and they went as you may have heard until 6:05 this morning, john kerry and zarif, the iranian foreign minister. he went for a walk to get air and get exercise. i asked how much sleep he had. he said only two hours but better o
