jackie: john: fox news alert, to people shot outside the long island home of new york congressman and gubernatorial candidate lee zeldin and the latest streak of crime in the state and across the country. i'm john scott and this is the fox report. the shootings occurred this afternoon while zeldin's two twin daughters were inside the house and two people shot had no relation to zeldin's family. we're joined live with the very latest. david. >> john, at the outset it is not believed that anyone in lee zeldin's family was being targeted by this shooting. but it was literally at his front door. a few moments ago i talked to the congressman and he is running for governor here in the state of new york against a democrat cathy hochul and he did tell me his two 16-year-old daughters were in the kitchen when they heard the gunfire. one of the bullets he told me landed 30 feet from where his daughters were sitting. the two daughters immediately locked themselves in a bathroom and then called 911. he issued a statement saying in parting" the two individuals shot were laying under my front porch in the pitches in front of
