live in pickens, john lyon, wyff news 4. nigel: thanks, john. firefighters are expecting even more fires as the temperatures continue to dip. tonight, oconee county officials are sending out a warning. wyff news 4's mandy gaither has more. mandy: this home on forest drive burned early saturday morning. but five other families who've had fires here in oconee county >> see where it melted, and fell off the wall? mandy: sheila lemon can still see the remains of her smoke detector. before it could even go off, her 16-year-old granddaughter woke up, smelled smoke, and got everyone out of the house safely. thankfully, no one was hurt in this fire. its cause, still under investigation. but most of the other five fires in oconee county the past week were started because someone was trying to heat a home. oconee county fire chief charlie king says, those fires have one thing in common. >> the disturbing thing about each one of those was, we found none of them had a working smoke detector. the small, inexpensive devices are proven life-savers, and we want
