keep going after john mccain? >> it's hard to imagine many people in the white house think it's a good idea for the president to be going after john mccain. i think there's a myth that no one in the white house says no to the president or no one says this isn't a good idea. the president doesn't necessarily listen. i think it precisely was a threat. the thing to keep in mind is senator mccain has been through a lot worse and faced a lot tougher adversaries. he holds where he was sort of the vote that brought it down just as much power over this president in a white house who has a very slim harr gin for error for legislative achievements. i don't mean that john mccain would take a vote to spite this president but he feels liberated to do exactly what he feels is right, is best for the country, best for his constituents. >> he's also not making friend by the vast majority of the senate who have great respect for john mccain. that's at the very least, i would think. let's talk about what you were just saying is if h
