john miller says the suspect was being questioned by fbi agents because he had been in contact with tamerlin tsarnaev before the boston marathon bombings. miller said there was a confrontation while agents were questioning a man at an apartment in orlando. >>> in oklahoma, searchers think everyone is accounted for following monday's deadly tornado. we have video to show you what it was like to be right under that tornado. it's passing over a shelter. a man inside shot this video through a small hole in the wall. you can see the power of the wind the debris flying through the air. i don't think i have ever seen a tornado from that angle. experts say this tornado was more powerful than the atomic bomb that dropped on hiroshima, so strong it could lift reinforced buildings right off the ground and hurl cars like missiles. the storm was 1.3 miles wide at points and 17 miles long and to give you some perspective, that's about the distance in san francisco between at&t park and the transamerica pyramid. >> hm. >> that's huge. take a look at this, too. this is more oklahoma before the tornado. a ci

john miller is with us. good morning. >> good morning. >> what's the latest on the investigation. >> they're going through largely what we have gone through in the boston investigation, which is, okay, who are these two guys. are they part of a cell, or are they on their own? if they're part of a cell, is that part of a network? they need to know all of those answers to see if there isn't something else behind it. as charlie said, two additional searches yesterday. two searches of the suspects' residences and so on. what i learned yesterday from my sources is neither one of these guys have been to the united states, according to our record. >> is this a new kind of attack though? >> charlie, we've never seen anything like this before in this combination which is first you have your terrorist attack, the running down with the car and the assault and the butchering of a soldier in the street, as a spectacle at the time everybody has a camera. then you have the spontaneous communiqu communique. him saying it to

john miller, former assistant fbi director joins us from dallas. good morning. at more have you learned, john, about this? >> a little more on the details, according to the people i've spoken to, what happened in that apartment which happened in a matter of seconds, involves the questioning of todashev. at that point allegedly writing out a confession, that he was involved in trainle murd triple. according to the people i've spoken to, it was the state trooper who noted todashev was getting more and more agitated, and then, charlie, he did something really interesting. rather than alert the agent, i think something is about to happen, he texted the agent, be careful. i think this guy is more agit e agitated. as the agent looked down at the text, that's when the table went over, todashev came over the table, picked up a metal broom handle or something like that, without a broom on it, and charged the agent. the agent knocked back, came up with his gun, fired two or three times, todashev came back at him. fired more times. the other -- the massachusetts state troop

john miller appearing there today.i assistant director and new york deputy police commissioner. good morning. >> good morning, charlie. >> good to see you from dallas. what was commissioner kelly's warning about? >>> you know what ray kelly did at this conference is say out loud is what police chiefs are fearing as they follow events in london london, the boston marathon bombing. as we go into the coming year, the threat of terrorism has volved from what is al qaeda going to do less the threat from al qaeda, more the threat from al qaeda-ism. what kelly framed is the next attack if you look at boston, look at london, probably not going to be from somebody considered a member of al qaeda, trained overseas and came back to the united states but somebody who is brought into the al qaeda narrative on the internet, put a plot together himself and this is much harder to detect. watching a network and its headquarters, you might catch something. but it's just an individual his brother, and his friend, it's harder to uncover.
