wesh 2' s amanda ober is live at where chief john mina just briefed reporters on the on the investigation. amanda: he just told us that the man who was shot and killed by two orlando police officers was armed with a simulated gun. he confronted the officers with that gun after being told by a dispatcher that officers were coming to his door to check on him. we have a mug shot of the victim who was shot from when he was booked in the orange county jail that he stole $88,000 from a bank of america atm on it new year' s day. he was out on bond last night when orlando police say they got a call from his father who was very concerned, saying something was wrong with his son. a dispatcher called him and he claims he was all right. the dispatcher was concerned enough that officers were still sent to check on him. the chief said he greeted the officers with that simulated gun. he refused to comply when he ordered -- when they ordered him to drop it, so police opened fire. he later died at a hospital. neither officer was hurt. the chief talked about the difficult part of this job. >> i am sure you
