i'm john ram, director of the san francisco planning department. we are here to present to you the results of a 3-year planning study on the rail alignment and benefit study other wise known as the r.a.b. we are happy to be here. part of the reason for the presentation is to give you the background and results of this planning study but our renting recognize -- our recommended alignment. i just want to first tell you that i'm joined by susan, the manager of the -- the project manager for the project as well as ron and bruce on the citizen's working group. ron is the chairman of that group and that group has been a great advisory group to us throughout this process over the last three years. so we started this study longer ago than i wish to admit. i do want to take a minute to thank the tjpa, mark and his staff for working with us very closely on this study. we had some wrinkles early on. i think that we have worked those out and i think that we are actually on the same page and have smooth sailing. i also want to thank cal train, high speed rail a

later on today's agen theda city and county of san francisco lanning director, john ram, will present the results of the study and input from the public meeting held last month. as you will hear, the results of the rap study supports the environmental clear alignment for the gtx. with the transit center nearing completion, the completion of the lab study, our focus is shifting to operating the transit center and bringing the cal and high speed rail to the transit center in the shortest time possible. we will submit proposals to help accomplish our mission of operating the transit center in the most efficient manner and bringing the trains in the shortest time possible. we have an organizational assessment to best organize staff for operating the transit center and delivering the trains. this was something that was suggested. the purpose of the organization you -- assessment is to inform us if we have few staff members and relying on consultant help is most efficient given the amount of workload coming up. we will present the findings for you in the next few months. we are also releasi
