kpix 5's john ramos is live at the amazon fulfillment center and employees are busy getting all those orders ready. john. >> reporter: ye namesous and robots. this is where the magic happens. this is where this crazy thing happens where you can sh next day at your office. tracy fulfillment center and 1 million square feet. you can put 28 football fields in it and there are 3,000 people working here with tens of millions of products. in this area over here, this is where the trucks arrive carrying the raw products from all over the world and then they are loaded into these amazing little robots. we'll walk over here. so this area here is called the picking station. if you get a close look at these robots, they are awfully automated and they are containing all the different products that people have purchased. you can see they have different things people bought for the holidays. as they come into this area and completely cruz around here by themselves. they come up to this area called the picking station and this young lady is the picker. she has got the orders on her screen there. all
