ktvu's john sasaki is live in martinez with the progress the boy is making and the exciting gift he got last night. good afternoon. >> reporter: three days after getting home from boston the harns met with reporters here outside city hall. they did not bring their son aron because he is home resting. but kathryn and allen harn brought good news about their seasons condition and recounted their experiences during the bombings. two days ago we took video of him at home recovering from injuries he suffered on april 15th, that day, his 12th birthday he doctor removed staples because he has healed so well. now parents are expressing gratitude but say he still has a long way to go. >> fortunately they had enough skin to put it back together again and it has gotten better every day so right now it is a matter of trying to regain the strength he has lot and the mobility from the injury. >> he wants to go to a movie with his friends. he wants to -- he wants to hang out with his friends, he wants to get back to his sports. he wants to make sure he finishes school. he is worried about his grades.

john sasaki joins us live from albany, where dreams ranged from grandiose to the simple. >> reporter: ken, this is what people here in the bay area, thousands of people bought tonight, tickets to a big dream in albany we saw a steady stream of people buying their shot at $600 million. >> i just wish everybody luck and i hope that i hit. >> this is the winning ticket. >> reporter: for most people it seem like dreaming the possibilities is what is porn. a. max's liquor, we heard dreams of a big house, lots of travel and luxury items. >> i would buy my house and go for a trip around the world. ktvu's john sasaki tells us why they chose that business to search, john? >> reporter: if you look inside the window you could see a pool table. whatever this business is, police came to oakland to raid it because nigel jay was last seen here. >> reporter: police were armed in s.w.a.t. gear and brought dogs to search for signs of nigel jay this morning. police were concerned about associates of the business known as custom ink. >> there were a lot of people in here that we couldn't, you know, do a clear background on and determine what the threat was. so in order ensure the safety of the team and the community we used our unit. >> reporter: no one was there but officers encountered one friendly dog. nigel jay was last seen here on april 7 where he used to bbq on weekend. we met with his sister who hasn't heard or seen from him. >> he came to my house. there was no activity. the 70 stopped on the 7th. >> he was a chef on park street. on april 7 he dropped by and he spent time with friends next door at lucky 13 bar. >> strange. none of us ever had anything li

john sasaki was in the courtroom today where prosecutors said they're wading through hundreds of thousands of pages of evidence. >> reporter: this afternoon those six current or former school employees all appeared in court. it was an unusual scene in a san francisco courtroom. stood and faced a judge this afternoon in their criminal case. >> it's about embezzlement. it's about fraud. >> reporter: they are accused of creating a slush fund of $15 million of public money. >> trish strongly believes her innocence and believes the innocence of the other women. >> reporter: prosecutors say trish was the ring leader and she is facing a total of 94 felony charges. >> she did not set up a slush fund and steal money. the board of education signed off on every transfer she did. peel people were aware. >> reporter: prosecutors accused women of diverting money. adding there are 200,000 pages of discovery. >> once we review the evidence and review the discovery, i think a better idea of what this case is about. >> reporter: parents were disturbed by the accusations. >> if it's true then it's really a s

ktvu's john sasaki learned that aaron hern returned to school today for the first time since he was injured in the boston marathon. >> they took these pictures after he arrived home last week. aaron hern was waiting for his mother when the bombs went off injuring his leg. the family says he stayed the day in class today and he is recovering well. >>> the fbi says a raid on a home in minnesota may have headed off a terrorist attack. investigators arrested a 24- year-old last friday after they searched his home. they say they found molotov cocktails and they think the target was in western minnesota. he is held on a charge of being felon in possession of a fire arm. >>> man is facing human trafficking charges after a arrest in santa rosa. they arrested him yesterday. he was arguing with two women at a hotel. one woman asked the deputy for help. he is being held in jail tonight. >> we will find out this week if the opening of the bay bridge is going to be delayed. on wednesday the management team will announce whether or not the bridge will open on september 3 as planned. they will announce ho
