ktvu's john sasaki is live in martinez with the progress the boy is making and the exciting gift he got last night. good afternoon. >> reporter: three days after getting home from boston the harns met with reporters here outside city hall. they did not bring their son aron because he is home resting. but kathryn and allen harn brought good news about their seasons condition and recounted their experiences during the bombings. two days ago we took video of him at home recovering from injuries he suffered on april 15th, that day, his 12th birthday he doctor removed staples because he has healed so well. now parents are expressing gratitude but say he still has a long way to go. >> fortunately they had enough skin to put it back together again and it has gotten better every day so right now it is a matter of trying to regain the strength he has lot and the mobility from the injury. >> he wants to go to a movie with his friends. he wants to -- he wants to hang out with his friends, he wants to get back to his sports. he wants to make sure he finishes school. he is worried about his grades.
