for more, i'm joined by our roundtable, susan milligan, john stanton, senior correspondent for buzzfeednior correspondent for the daily weis. your reaction to the whole weekend mishmash. the booing -- i was surprised pence even went to the -- this is progressive stuff for hmm. him getting dressed down by the cast and later trump going crazy and pence being a gentleman, acting like a president and the whole thing about "saturday night live." put it all together, this culture war, that trump seems to like and the left, i think, likes. >> i think that, yes, i think both sides like and i think what happened in the election is not so much a political fight but a culture war between sort of the old america and the new america. but i think donald trump's reaction to that and the tweeting and just the thin-skinned nature of his response is kind of alarming, because being president of the united states is not just about policy, it's about gravitas and dignity. and the more i watch him behave in the transition and see him not move from campaign mode to governing mode, the more i become concerned

we learned how to trust john lassiter and andrew stanton. that is hard to do.reative mistakes are real expensive. for an executive to trust their creative people it takes courage. neil: would that be, obviously couldn't be everything you wanted. couldn't be everything steve jobs wanted if trump were to get elected or hillary clinton for that matter. can't be everything they want. you have to get stuff done. what is the lesson here? >> they have to go to pixar to figure out how to do it, become great innovators. neil: you have to be open to ideas. >> requires two things. you have to have passionate intensity to do great work. on other side you have to have willingness to collaborate. those two forces pull against each other. passionate intensity has a lot hubris with it. the power to collaborate requires you to yield. finding that balance is really hard. pixar perfected that balance. neil: you had a lot to do with that. a little humility and humor. neil: it goes a long way. rest they say is history. lawrence levy, former pixar cfo. it's a from pixar and beyond.
