joining us is john strickland. their business is aviation linked. is that a reason they're struggling is that one reason they're struggling >> it's the effect of the hot summer we had in europe. a number of airlines are talking about impact on late bookings. many people want to escape countries like the uk to get down to the mediterranean, many people booked in advance at the lower rates. those who booked in the last minute didn't do so. that fed through to the massive impact on top of that there's a lot of capacity in the market not least from the competing airlines >> i want to ask about fuel prices we've had a volatile year for energy prices. my first question is how much of a lag typically doesit take between big price moves and that again transpiring into some of these companies earnings over the summer we had prices skyrocket. many airlines were not hedged for that since october prices have dropped 30%, so presumably that should be a tailwind for an industry how much time lag will we start seeing those effect

let‘s talk to john strickland, aviation expert atjls consulting.ation where fuel gusts are higher, lots of disruption in terms of strikes, pilots, air—traffic control, and yet they post quite healthy profit? yes, they have had a very good year, they were bolsters by the misfortunes of some of the other airlines in the market. we had monarch disappearing from the market and another company as well and easyj et was and another company as well and easyjet was able to mop up some of that capacity in the market and give them a much stronger position in berlin and the german market. looking ahead they have indicated that it will not be quite so benign in the coming months, particularly early next year, we have seen capacity pick up which will make it harder to compete than it was in the past. and we have the rising prices of fuel. today‘s profits are a testa m e nt to of fuel. today‘s profits are a testament to the success of the business and it is very well placed to weather any coming storms unlike some smaller airlines we have seen recently going out

john kasich or is it president trump? >> i'm a mike dewine republican i guess. seriously the real question in this campaign for voters whether we go back. eight years ago my opponent, richard cordray, ted strickland we had double-digit unemployment. we lost 400,000 jobs. we'vecome back. we've regained 400,000 jobs plus another 150,000. a statistic came out couple days ago indicated this past year we gained more jobs than we gained for the last 2is -- 21 years. we're moving in the right direction. connell: right. >> when my opponent becomes governor, he will raise taxes. he talked about increasing programs, we totaled that, up $4 billion a year, unlike washington we have to balance our budgets. so when you spend four billion dollars more than you have, you have to raise taxes. that is what cordray will do. connell: he also talked a lot about you and talked specifically like many democratic candidates around the country about health care. democrats think that is winning issue. he come after your time as state attorney general saying that you are not a supporter of people who have preexisting conditions. that you were opposed to insurance programs that protected those preexisting conditions. what do
