john terrett standing by. i know you have been tethered to the camera and a microphone most of the night, so you probably don't have an answer. we have been asking a question - has there been a response to officials in ferguson? have you seen any sign of that? >> no, we haven't seen any officials response from anyone. we are waiting for the morning for that. at the moment where i am, outside the police station, where there was a great deal of anxiety earlier on, after the decision of the grooury was handed up -- grand jury was handed up, people were anxious that there was no indictment. it quickly got out of control, police lost control for a while, but regained it. we saw what was promised that there would be sporadic demonstrations and protests all over the area, not just in one place, which is pretty much how it was in august. we have seen a community that is really hurting, and really angry. and whether or not tonight's violence and the looting that we have seen, and the burning that we have seen was carri

john terrett, stay safe. we'll talk later >>> protests are taking place in other parts of the country. in new york more than 1,000 gathered in times square, chanting "justice for michael brown." these are live pictures, and they are carrying signs saying "black's matter", more protests are scheduled around the country. there's some on the west coast. michael brown's family released a statement saying: lawyers for officer darren wilson released this statement tonight saying: we have been talking to dante barry, the executive doctors of the million hoodies movement for justice, founded after the death of trayvon martin. you think about trayvon martin on a night like this? >> absolutely. i think right back to that terrible terrible day of when george zimmerman was acquitted of the murder charges. the system was not designed to protect black people. it was designed to keep us out. and it was designed to patrol us in every way. we look back into the circumstances that affect tony martin, they are similar to the ci

john terrett is coughing that part of the story, and is live at ferguson police department. good morning to you. the prosecutor was thorough in his preparation as to why darren wilson was not indicted. >> he was, good morning to you. good morning dell as well. the posterior bob mcculloch going on for 20 minutes and answering questions afterwards. here on the ground, outside the ferguson police headquarters someone set up a large set of speakers on a trolley. the crowd listened carefully to his words. the clip played - they did not notice that clip, and it took a while, but eventually people started saying "no indictment", and the chant went out. a group of protesters after that went up to the police barrier and kicked it in, and forced police to come out of the fire station next door, and from that point things went downhill. >> more than 4800 pages of evidence released. can you tell us a bit about some of those highlights. >> yes, 5,000 pages almost released by bob mcculloch, the st louis county prosecutor. of all of it, the most interesting from the police officer darren w

john terrett joins us from ferguson >>> good morning to you, what is the police chief saying now. >> good morning. hey. well, what a sea change we have had in the past 24 hours. yesterday, saturday, the police chief in ferguson, tom jackson quoted widely in the media, that in the event the grand jury does not indict 28-year-old officer darren wilson, he could return to work immediately, active duty immediately. now on sunday morning, clarification from the same police chief saying legally speaking while it's true the officer could return to work if he's not indicted. if he returns to work, he could be subjected to internal police probe, which may or may not result in the termination of darren wilson's contract. >> that's interesting, it sound almost like a reaction to fears that this could cause more unrest should he be back on the streets. something that people are reacting to is yesterday's newly released video from the st louis post dispatch, showing officer wilson hours after the shooting walking around inside the police station. we heard reaction from the community members yeste

john terrett is live there this morning. we are seeing new video of officer wilson hours after the shooting, what was he doing in the video? >> good morning from ferguson. the police chief gave an interview to reporters saying he had not spoken to darren wilson since the incident. if the grand jury decides not to indict officer wilson, he'll be on paid leave. if he is indicted. he will be fired, according to police chief thomas jackson. the other development comes from the local newspaper, the st louis dispatch, which published a video. we'll show it to you now. it's a short video, four seconds long, showing officer darren wilson accompanied by other officers leaving to go to the hospital. this is a few hours after the shooting incident and he is accompanied by his union representative. the dispatch is reporting they put together radio traffic from the e m.s. and police and worked out that the incident on august the 9th took less than 90 seconds. with me i have a guest here in ferguson. good morning to patricia bynes, the de
