. >> joining us on the phone now is john waldron. john, thank you for being with us. it's a late night for you there on the west coast, early morning for us here on the east coast. we'll keep it short. you looked up and saw those fighter jets escorting the stolen plane. at any point up to that point, did you realize or recognize that something was wrong or was the presence of those jets the first sign for you? >> well, we have two large military paces within about ten miles from where this all happened. so, it's not uncommon to see, you know, fighter aircraft up in the air. but to see them in the manner they were flying and at that location where they were at was a little bit bizarre. so, i started to tape the aircraft and then out of no where the guy that was flying this q-400 just pulled the stick back and put this thing into a complete loop and i honestly thought he was going to stall and hit the water. but, you know, i mean, it was just very shocking to see. so, i just kept taping and i was completely unaware of what happened at the airport. i had no idea the plan

that was john waldron. we'll get him back up on the line. but an amazing story he was telling us.ot what you're seeing on your screen right now, really stunning footage. so the q400 that had been stolen moments before from seattle-tacoma international airport being followed, chased by two f-15 fighter jets. you saw the daredevil maneuver just above the water, and moments later it crashed on ketron island. we'll get john back up to talk than. mary schiavo is still with us. mary, one thing i should have asked you earlier. tell us about seatac, seattle-tacoma international. how big an airport are we talking about? >> we are talking about a major international airport with planes operating there from 777, to dreamliner, 787s, airbus aircraft. i mean, this is a major airport. you have a lot of flights landing there from china. it's -- obviously an airport with a lot of security because you have a lot of international flights. but, you have two very different worlds sea-tac or any major airport. you have the world, the sterile, sterile by meaning security, passengers deal with and that

john waldron shot the video captured what you are seeing. about to see f-15s on your screen. there they are. john, run us again, please for people who haven't heard what you told us earlier. everything you saw from the beginning. >> you bet, cyril. thank you for having me here with you tonight. i decided to go down to, chambers bay for a nightly walk. like i often do. and i noticed, i noticed a couple f-15s flying around which isn't uncommon in the area with mccord air force base close by. then i noticed a twin engine turbo prop air craft flying around. two f-15s appeared to be chasing it for lack of better if i just kind of bluf it oew it off. maybe practicing for an air show or something like that. who knows. so, i started to capture video, just because i thought it was, kind of bizarre. and i continued to watch. then all of a sudden. i noticed. >> did you understand what you were seeing? did you understand what you were watching at the time? >> honestly, i thought they were practicing for an air show. to be perfectly honest. i had no idea at the time that the aircraft had b

i spoke with john waldron. he's an eye witness who saw the chaos in the sky. he captured it on his phone. john, thank you for joining us. this is a busy area. it's close to the airport. you're used to seeing a lot of traffic in the sky. when did you know there was something different about what you were seeing? >> what really looked out of place to me was the fact that they were following this little twin engine turbo prop around. i saw the fighters behind this aircraft. i started rolling the tape. >> this was -- you called it a turbo prop. it was a commercial plane. it was a q-400. it seats 76 passengers. not just a small little prop plane. how bizarre was it to see it doing stunts and barrel rolls? >> as i'm recording this, all of a sudden this little turbo prop pulls the stick back or the yoke back and puts this thing up in the air. i thought he was going to stall and crash. this is not going to be good. he recovered. i was actually getting ready to throw my phone down and run for the hills. i wasn't sure what was going to happen. that's when i -- everything
