i've served in cabinet alongside johnny mercer, who is the veterans minister, the first to serve in cabinetnit and all the good things that we've done. but what we want to do is now go still further with the veterans bill in the next parliament. if we are to be re—elected, and there will be looking at further plans and strategic plans , that there and strategic plans, that there will be a duty on ministers to come forward with, we're going to be decreasing the cost of the rail car to veterans from 30 to £21. we're rail car to veterans from 30 to £21.we're going to be extending the national insurance reductions that are available to employers that recruit veterans, for example, where we know we have higher employment rates amongst veterans than we do across the population more generally. so we stand full square with them. and i think, you know, this is an important step forward. >> you've got to pull out all the stops, though, having you at the stops, though, having you at the minute, especially when we look at the latest polls, there's been so much focus on, there's been so much focus on, t

look at what johnny mercer has achieved as the minister for veterans affairs, and look at what the primen for veterans affairs . we've got for veterans affairs. we've got resolution, not courage, that help veterans who may be finding life just a little bit difficult at the moment. and we've also got the northern ireland legacy bill, which ends vexatious prosecutions of people like denis hutchens. now, gb news was absolutely brilliant in supporting us through that because that's been a really difficult moment for many people in the in the armed forces community. seeing denis in his dying days, very sadly, in 2021, being persecuted and prosecuted for god knows how many time after he'd already answered all the questions. so many times now we've introduced northern ireland legacy bill and sir keir starmer wants to repeal it. now that i just think that's wrong. and so this is a really clear choice about our future, not just about today, but about the future for veterans in the uk. >> yeah. i mean, i wonder if you worry for your job as well, even if, even if you don't, you don't have it on fri
