first off, former arkansas state representative johnny roebuck.id you first meet hillary clinton? guest: 1982? host: what were the circumstances? guest: i was teaching school and she was very involved in education and in trying to make things better for us. we were talking about preschool education and she was very interested in involving family and parents and their children's education. she broughtin 1985, a program to us because she knew we had a problem. this was before we were talking about pre-k. she knew we had to get parents involved in education of their children so she brought a program to arkansas called home instruction for parents. to parents how to teach their children in their home so children did not have to go out for pre-k. they were taught by their parents and it's a wonderful program that is still in existence. that's how i met her. host: what have you worked on together besides that program? chaired our standards committee in arkansas when bill clinton was governor. she went all over the state and have a listening tour. hillar
