well, this is a cool tip from pat johnston in sioux falls, south dakota. pat says when she begins her quilt, she purchases all the fabric that she needs for the top, of course, but she doesn't always get the backing fabric right that minute or maybe she doesn't always get enough. what she does is she saves the colored dots from the selvages that she cuts her pieces from, like, you know, from the top, and she writes the finished quilt dimensions on the back of this little selvage piece, and then she places it in her purse, so she's always prepared, if she happens across a fabric sale, she can purchase the backing at a sale. that's a very organized thing. i love her that she does that. i don't know if i'm gonna get -- i'll get there one day. it's really a good idea. it really is. another really great idea. this is from de ann theuer from west jordan, utah. and she uses pillow protectors. these are just the protectors you put over your pillow before the pillowcase. she stores her quilts in those, which would be great, because it's fabric. there's no acid ther
