a couple weeks ago a couple of planes full of members of congress, family and staff went to johnstownespects to jack murtha. we went there to console and we were consoled. we saw the tremendous outpouring of love and respect for jack murtha. thousands of people stood in the snow in line to wait their turn to say goodbye. again, members of the president's cabinet came to the service. and the president of the united states, william jefferson clinton, was there. i hope it was a comfort to the family that so many people at every level of our society appreciated jack's contribution, mourn your loss and are praying for you at this sad time. i had the privilege of speaking at jack's service, and i told people of johnstown about the pennsylvania corner. important to note that there are no other named locations in the house chamber. we had a $350,000 community development block grant leveraged into 650 incoming tech jobs in johnstown. a california company. we'll leverage $100 million. 750 full-time jobs. we used recovery bonds and block grant money in akron to keep the technology center in akron. there are many success stories of the stimulus packages and many happening in our district. one of the other thing that is's positive is general motors. we have had the lordstown plant in ohio for the cruise. a third shift with the bridge loan and the whole nine yards. so there's been some positive things. secretary geithner, i've got to talk to you about the delphi salaried retirees located thousands of them in my district, thousands of them in ohio and across the country who just flat-out got a raw deal on, you know, throughout the gm bankruptcy. we need your help. there are families here, these are middle class families. there's a variety of issues with them. but their pensions didn't get topped off. they need their help. it is having a traumatic to the economy and our ability in ohio to fully recover because of the pe
