last night, the police commission held a joint meeting with supervisors to reaffirm the city's commitmento finishing reforms that were recommended by the u.s. justice department last month. you will remember that mayor ed lee had asked for a federal review of sfpd policies and practices in response to several controversial police shootings, including the killing of mario woods. the feds offered recommendations but the main point of contention is the use of force policy. the union takes issue with the proposal barring officers from shooting at moving cars. now, i talked about this issue a short time ago over the phone with tony rivera, a retired san francisco police chief and usf producer. >> there are several scenarios that you can look at regarding moving vehicles where it's hard to just say under no circumstances can you use your gun. there are situations where an officer's life could be very much endangered by a moving vehicle. >> reporter: the san francisco chronicle reports supervisor aaron teskan is concerned about delays in the negotiations and implementing reforms because he says
