well so far we've only had a very factual statement from the joint operations command saying that there were in total $22.00 missiles that were fired by iran in direction of 2 bases where u.s. personnel are stationed 17 of those rockets hit either last airbase in western anbar province and the remaining 5 hits near an air base not actually striking it but hitting in the surrounding fields now we understand those 17 rockets that were fired and i said all fell inside the coalition headquarters but as we mentioned before the u.s. is still assessing the material damage and there are no reports of u.s. casualties and the statement also said from the joint operations command there were no iraqi forces harmed in this latest attack now of course this is a very significant event here because we haven't really previously had iran firing such missiles onto iraqi territory we did have over a dozen different rocket attacks of the past 2 months targeting such bases but these rocket attacks were mostly attributed to groups such as hezbollah brigades which form part of the iranian backed popular mobili
