jon: all right.ich, even his detractors say that joe biden is a gifted politician, somebody who can kind of light up a room. what do you think about the media treatment he is getting especially given what happened to beau? >> well, i agree with lynn. he's getting a lot of sympathy, justify buy and understandably -- justifiably and understand write so. and also secretly every political journalist in the country is rooting for him to get in. jon: you think so? >> oh, absolutely. it's an amazing story. and, look, i'm one of those biden detractors for decades now, but he is impossible not to like. and just in these few interviews over the last several weeks he's showed more sincerity and been a more sympathetic figure than hillary is, has the entire campaign. and hillary has, you know, well-paid consultants locked in a room right now trying to come up with a plan for her to show that kind of human side that joe biden is every day. jon: well, let's talking about hillary clinton. positive or negative. she

jon: exactly. david: why is that?: well, once again, some of the aging and demographics issues are important because they shed a lot of light on labor force participation for example. and the fed is right now considering a lot more than just the standard unemployment rate as you know. and part of that's because labor force participation fell incredibly rapidly during the period after the crisis. some of that people think was due to these aging issues. that was just the baby boomers moving into retirement. but it was probably more than we would have expected. and the question is, in a healthy economy, a job market that was really calling for workers, would some of those folks like to come back and have a job and work for five years? and that's a really important question, because if they do, it means a lot more output. it also means a lot more tax revenue. it means many things for the economy that are all good. and so when the fed says, no. those people have left the labor market. they're out for good, then we may be n

jon: is there a message? >> one of the things that was interesting is that into tech in general is very strong in asia and to a certain extent the americas, flattering the rest of europe and spain. so contrary to some of thee other people it seems a mass-market is working still in asia. jon: we track h&m very closely as well. resultslook at these and think about what it means for other companies in the sector? works to a degree but, it is surprising even now how the overlap isn't so really and. germany is h&m's most important company and is not that big for intertec. the weather in the short-term makes a difference as well. it was very hot so autumn clothes did not sell. is not a huge amount of overlap but a little bit. jon: thank you for joining us this morning. the market changing rapidly. hewlett-packard is trying to keep up. asthey are cutting as much 33,000 jobs. let's get more on their restructured planned with ryan chilcote. >> that is a lot of jobs. us is a company that had as recently as 2011 350,000
