let's get more from jon karl, jon, you look at the delegate map right now, all those states that joeiden has won, the lead he has is delegates, it's just about impossible for bernie sanders to get those delegates going into the convention. so the big question for him now is how long can he stay in? >> well, george, he can stay in for a while, but sanders' window of opportunity is slamming shut. he essentially needs to see the near total collapse of the biden campaign to win. instead, biden is winning everywhere, winning in every region of the country, building up that formidable delegate lead, and he's crushing sanders in the popular vote. so george, next week, you see four big states vote. these are all states including florida and ohio where sanders lost four years ago. he really needs to, you know -- needs to win in places where he has not won before. there will be pressure on him to drop out. but remember bernie sanders sees this as a movement. i suspect he'll be in for at least awhile long. >> meanwhile, this is not the outcome that president trump wanted. how does this scramble

. >> and i want to go to jon karl for more on the economic proposals from the president. calling on congress to extend more benefits to the small business administration. and deferral of tax payments. the president still calling for his payroll tax. that has not been warmly welcomed on capitol hill. >> it has not been warmly welcomed from democrats and even some republicans. but listening to the president here, it's stark how different he sounded tonight. we didn't hear two things that we've been hearing from him ovr and over again. we didn't hear him blame democrats for exaggerating this and using it to make him look bad. we didn't hear him blame the news media for making the problem sound worse than it is. he seemed to directly acknowledge in a way that he has not until this moment, just how serious this is. i thought it was a very different tone from him. it wasn't just the economic impact. he's been spooked by watching the stock market's reaction to this. and you heard him strike a very different tone and addressing the seriousness of this threat. just two weeks ago,

let's bring in jon karl for more on this.lizabeth warren is still in the race a she's facing a fair amount of pressure from progressive allies of bernie sanders to get out. >> absolutely. the argument from the progressives to elizabeth warren is, look, the centrists are coalescing around joe biden. it's time for progressives to coalesce around bernie sanders. but, look, the play for elizabeth warren here is to win delegates and hope for a contested convention and bring those delegates in and be a force in milwaukee. but, george, here's the key thing, two of her home states are voting today, oklahoma where she grew up, massachusetts that she represents in the senate. she has to at least win one of those states to show that she can win somewhere. >> you'd have to imagine. as we head into tonight as well, the magic number for delegates is 1,991. that's the number of delegates the candidate will need to win on the first ballot. we'll have a real understanding tonight of whether someone can get there or we ar're headed to conteste
