raphael warnock twice and jon ossoff who won as well. for all the glee that democrats have in maintaining this senate seat, in the gubernatorial race brian kemp, the republican won handily. he won by nearly 8 points and republicans won just about every other statewide race in georgia this time around. the only race they lost was the senate race where one big reason, according to many republicans you talk to around the country, was this guy, herschel walker. it might be more of a candidate issue. the so it's a state that democrats can and have won. is it a state that they will start winning every time like virginia, which is now seen as less purple, more blue? hard to tell. >> and will republicans blame donald trump for getting them into this predick snamt. >> yes. i think they already have. i'll just point out. if you are talking about states where trump backed a losing candidate, georgia, pennsylvania, arizona, all states where the democratic candidate won and the trump-backed republican lost. >> i see a trend there. john berman, good t

his opponent democrat jon ossoff actually saw a drop off of only 104,000 votes and that's where he went warnock beat incumbent republican kelly loeffler in the special election run off and he won by about 93,000 votes. he received major support from the atlanta metro area and counties like fulton, cobb, henry. warnock performed several points better in the run off than did he in the general. former president trump was central figure in that run off election back then. his insistence that the 2020 election was rigged. drew sharp criticism from his own party. a speech in northern georgia was questioned whether it held people home and didn't turn out. republicans didn't turn out for those two numbers turn around the former president has largely been missing from the campaign trail; however, he is doing a tele town hall for mecial walker tonight. now in the run off tomorrow the question is who will turn out in the strong metro areas like fulton county. population is 9.9%. it's number 1 out of the 59 counties from georgia. warnock beat loeffler in fulton county by 45 points in the last run o

after today's hearings, we had a chance to speak with georgia senator jon ossoff. we revealed today that after an eight month bipartisan investigation of sexual abuse of female inmates in federal prisons. very disturbing findings. we found that at least two thirds of federal prisons that have housed women over the last decade bureau of prisons employees have sexually abused female inmates and that no systemic effort has been made to address this crisis . in addition to the former warden of fc i. dublin, three other correctional officers have been charged with sex crimes. three of them had pleaded guilty ourselves. team also found there are hundreds of sexual abuse cases that have yet to be investigated. and that prisons are not adhering to the prison rape elimination act, which was signed into law back in 2003 street stocks were higher today after some encouraging news on inflation. the dow was up 103 points, the nasdaq added. 113 and the s and p was up by 29 points. monthly data released today shows that inflation eased just a bit in november, but is fox's madelin
