jon, thanks. steve, thanks to you as well. >>> check on the market now with dominic chu. >> scott, on balance. look at the major three indices because we're getting back the losses, not even close to the full amount of the 300-point drop on the dow. up 80 points here. doing decently. s&p 500 up 13, 14 points. nasdaq up a percent as well. up 40 points. look at the overall s&p 500, there's only one sector that's in the red today. that here is the utilities stocks. again, more defensive sectors that top three performing one, materials, discretionary, and financials all cyclical or more economically sensitive. a bit of bullish sentiment there although you've got to watch volumes. one stock to highlight in particular is sony, the japanese company. this on rumors reports here. jet, japan's nikkei news services saying that sony may be in talks to sell off their pc business. there has been speculation about the future of sony's pc business. lenovo has been tossed around as a name. not newish headlines but nikkei saying that sony may be in that market to perhaps get rid of or sell off or spin off or so
