jonah goldberg and joe trippy, a democratic strategist both are fox news contributors. but even president obama criticizing sony's decision, how big a blow is this to free expression? >> it's pretty good, but i find it fairley awkward to hear the president lecturing sony on how not to cave on people who are perhaps threatening violence to free speech when you look at isn't that what president obama did when they called youtube and said they should pull down that perfectly legal video an expression of free speech by a director that did absolute will i nothing wrong and they promised to hunt him down and have him arrested. in the end, there was nothing to arrest him for. he was exercising legal free speech and he was put in jail for something unrelated. to date, the only person held accountable in the whole benghazi debacle and someone who is utterly devoid of assault, ironically. >> what do you make of this, jonah? >> i welcome it. there's a little bit of -- you know, it's rare i'm in the same camp as a lot of these people. but every one of these tweets, i agree with. >>

jonah goldberg, senior editor of "the national review" and fox news contributor. was focus on the militarization of police forces and the retaining of police officers across the country. what did you think about the president? >> it strikes me as a lot of window dressing. first of all, there is a proposition going back to socrates or plato, saying anything al sharpton is involved in can't be entirely good. but beyond that the militarization of police forces is a real issue. a lot of these towns have their own s.w.a.t. teams. but it wasn't an issue in ferguson and on 4 per of the stuff that comes from this pentagon program actually end up in terms of military equipment. most of it is office supplies. mor. -- moreover, they are talk about the $263 mill for body cameras. but he's got to get that funded by congress. he can pledge all he likes but he has to get it through congress. martha: what is the real outcome of ferguson? eric holder talked about how he sees it as well. >> i will announce updated justice department guidance regarding profiling by federal law enfor

goldberg how this could play out. we're hearing not only new york mayor de blasio planning to speak to the press later today but al sharpton -- i was mentions before jonahatever your political stripes are leaning lean ing to keep the calm. do you think they can? do you think they will? >> time will tell. i don't think it is ever a positive development when al sharpton is involved in anything. but, you know, al sharpton is usually influential. the de blasio administration is influential. i grew up in new york city. i simply think that he is a net ill for society. >> all right. there are going to be people who look at the decision and say this officer should have been indicted. i think there are those that argued last week that the officer should have been indicted. there's enormous differences between the two cases including this one having video. be that whatever it may. whatever the differences as you reported, jonah, they come down to racial battle lines and needless agitation that already take a tender situation and make it a tinderbox. how should leaders avoid it? >> look, carefully. i think this, you know, the essence of wisdom is drawing distincti
