morgan. it is remarkable to see the build in operating income from 2006 down, and then just coming back. we forget how much money they are minting, even the troubled banks. jonathan: many of these through last year across a range on wall street. i caught up with david solomon a little earlier to get his view on global growth. this is what he had to say. the global economy is in ok shape, i think. our economists are talking about 3.5% global growth. we are talking about 2.4% growth in the u.s.. if you look at just the economy itself, i think we are doing just fine. the growth trajectory maybe has slowed a little bit, but the underlying economy is chugging along pretty well. there's a lot going on in the world at a high level, particularly around some big picture macro issues, whether it is the shut down in the u.s., the trade negotiation between the u.s. and china, brexit, just to name a few. think markets are watching these, and it is a lot to digest. i think that is actually the big thing people are focused on. how are these issues going to progress, and what impact will those have on the underlying economic activity we are seeing? jonathan: you've already made
