you wrote jonathan turley about a woman at teen vogue who wrote she was not at all concerned about innocent men losing their job. basically some innocent jobs lose their job. i think of the duke case and the university cases i have covered where sometimes it does happen. what is your response to saying that is okay if they get lost in the shuffle? >> it's troubling. obviously, you dismiss the potential that someone might be innocent. there is often a reliance on statistics that only 3% of the claims are found to be fraudulent. i have had trouble finding the source for that. there is one study that shows a 6% rate in criminal cases. those are different in nature than is civil accusations. we have to be careful. people are entitled to present their side of this. we shouldn't make assumptions. it's not immediately true just because someone makes the allegation. having said that, politicians need to understand that the voters will look at the credibility of the allegations. how many women have come forward, what the details are, whether there is corroboration and they will have to reach a concl
