and joining me now is former secret service agent and cnn law enforcement analyst jonathan wackrow. jonathan i want to start with you on this issue of the weapons that we just spoke to the see the nashville police chief about the parents clearly knew that weapons were a major factor here , but they thought that they had dealt with it. the question for you from a law enforcement perspective is that when you have this, this confluence of potentially mentally ill person and a weapon. what should individuals do in that circumstance to bring law enforcement into the equation? well listen, it goes back to when we talk about like the emotional issues that the suspect had. you know, we've heard of this emotional breakdown. we've heard of the emotional care that they were under. we don't know if that was directly by a doctor. but when it comes down to, you know the weapons and people who are in distress. your family members are key here. they're the key element if they feel that the individual is at risk for hurting themselves or others there they really should be reaching out to authorities

jonathan wackrow is a former secret service agent. gentlemen, good to see you both. so ron, let me begin with you. and your reaction to trump's claim that he will be arrested tuesday, he has called for protests and, by the way, the manhattan d.a. confirming that there is an arrest or indictment scheduled for tuesday. >> that is part of the story that he's putting a specific date on it the d.a. is not. the largest point is the one that you mentioned. if you are the most sympathetic observer possible to donald trump and you do double back flips, you could find some credence in his argument that on january 6 he did not know that his language would lead to violence. but january 6 has now happened. he knows the effect of the language that he used that day and how it led to violence. and here he is, coming very close to that language again. it makes it very hard to avoid the conclusion that he is willing to use the threat of violence as part of his political strategy and that is just a reminder of the very different era we are in. we have been in any point in american hist

former congressman ted deutsche who is ceo of the american jewish committee and cnn legal analyst jonathan wackrowthis threat comes as we're seeing a rise in anti-semitic attacks and threats against politicians. what were you thinking when you fist heard the news this morning? >> well, i was thinking that this is sadly one more case of anti-semitism that nearly led to a horrifically violent outcome. this is less than two weeks after a shooter in los angeles shot two people and then made very clear that he was looking for jewish victims. this person who was arrested in michigan was looking to kill jews in the government. this is a through line that is dominating the news in america, and it's not just the jews who are at risk. it's democracy that's at risk, and we can't afford to only focus on these for a day or so after an arrest is made. we need to understand the threat that it poses every day and act to ensure that it doesn't lead to violence and that we're doing everything we can to stop it. >> jonathan, you heard polo reporting that in the court documents the suspect apparently wanted to create

three kids three adults, jonathan wackrow is with us as well. e police say, jonathan, they do have video of how all this unfolded and they say they will be releasing it either. later tonight or tomorrow. what will you be looking for? well you know, listen, i think that you know from the video that will be released. what we're going to see is very swift action by law enforcement officers and public safety officials. we're going to see how their tactics went in to try to address the threat when you have to remember the immediate response by law enforcement is to stop that threat. go to the sound of the shooting in neutralize that threat, either by taking the suspect out or taking them into into custody, but i think very uniquely here. you know what we're also seeing. eating is that law enforcement was paired up with fire and e m s, uh, personnel as well again, allowing for, uh, the immediate medical attention given to victims on the scene, while you know the entire environment was , you know, still unstable eyes. the building wasn't cleared, so law
